SUNS game with our SON

On Friday night we were fortunate to see a Suns Basketball game with Nathan and some of the students from his Elementary school. It was neat to do something just with Nathan. (Thanks to Aunt Sherri for watching the girls for us) Because we were part of a large group the tickets were discounted and we were able to get in early to watch some of the players warm up from the seats in the front. This is how close we were to the court during warm up.

Nathan was excited to wear his purple (suns color) wham jersey to the game.


I was excited to see this guy in the gray shirt walk onto the court during warm up. (Dan Majerle) I had a CRUSH on him when I was a teenager and he played for the Suns. He is still nice looking but he doesn't make my heart skip a beat anymore.


Preston was excited to see these Suns Dancers and wanted a picture with them. He convinced Nathan to get in a picture with them so he didn't look like such a putz. Aren't I a nice wife to take this picture for him :-)

We walked around while we waited for the game to start. This hat was in the gift shop.

I have another picture where I am making a face like the gorilla, but it is very unattractive so you get the smiling version on the blog.
There was a free play area called Gorilla's Greenhouse that the kids could shoot baskets. Nathan said that was his favorite thing we did. This is a great action shot of the ball going into the basket.

Nathan also got his face painted.

I looked over during the second half of the game and Nathan was leaning nice and close to his Dad. I will be honest I got a little choked up and had to take a picture. I don't know how much longer we have that Nathan will be okay with being seen in public with us and showing any kind of affection. He is growing up really fast.

Our Valentine's Weekend

Once again my sister Sherri put on a AWESOME Valentine's party for the kids. So on Saturday we headed to my brother's house for the Party of Love. First thing we did was take a picture of all the cousins that lived here to send to the cousins that live in Utah. I am in the picture only because Natalie was being VERY clingy and would not be in the picture without me.


We then played a game with balloons. The kids were supposed to run across the front yard while keeping their balloon in the air.

Natalie was on her own mission and spent the time chasing the balloon around. She did end up popping one in the grass which gave her quite a scare.


Then we went in for some Papa Murphy's heart shaped pizza and drinks, Love you Lots Lemonade and Cupid Cherry punch. Sherri really does think of everything.

We also decorated sugar cookies.

Played a homemade memory game with pictures of the kids on the cards.

Some other activities that we did but I didn't catch pictures of were
Made valentines for the Utah cousins
Candy walk aka Cake walk
Relays with a heart pillow that involved balancing it on your head and walking with it between your knees.
Limbo love
Stump the cupid (12 items were placed on a tray and the kids had 30 sec to look at it then the items were covered back up and they were to write down everything they could remember from the tray) 2 neat things with this game 1) Nathan remembered all 12 things all on his own, I was VERY impressed. 2) I wrote down the items that Taylor told me that she remembered. She remembered 2 dollar and candy (not a real shocker there). Then I told her to close her eyes and picture the tray again. She closes her eyes and I ask her what she can see. Taylor's response, " I see nothing" cracked me up I guess she doesn't have a photographic memory after all.

The kids had a blast. Thank you Aunt Sherri!!! When we asked Nathan what his favorite part was he replied "All of it. I wanted to do everything twice." Thanks for letting me crash the party too Sherri it was fun to watch. Last year Preston and I went out to lunch minus kids but this year Preston was gone snowboarding so I would've been a party of 1 and would not have been much fun.


Valentine Morning

Taylor received a small teddy bear and a princess tin purse and candy from us.


Nathan received 2 Bakugans, some pokemon card holding sheets, and some candy.

The after affects of some candy. I actually didn't get a picture when she was completely done devouring the candy. It wasn't pretty. Let's just say a bath quickly followed.

I received a violet colored Hydranger plant and a card from Preston and the makings for chocolate covered strawberries from the kids. Preston received a card and a collage 8x10 full of pictures of the 2 of us with the title. "Forever by your side, I Love You" Insert audible AHHH!!! here. :-) I know romantical if I do say so myself.

It was a nice day topped off with a DELICIOUS dinner at my parent's house. Thanks Mom :-)

Random Pictures

Just some cute random pictures I have taken over the past couple of weeks.

Natalie loves to put on other people's hats and shoes. She loves Nathan's ASU hat the best and she always puts it on backwards.

Taylor and Natalie loving each other. I am going to say that Natalie is giving Taylor a kiss on the head but she may actually be trying to bite her.

Girls "helping" me make brownies. I thought they looked SOO cute sharing the stool.

Last Saturday (6th) we went to a park by our house to enjoy the weather and the spare time we had. Here are some pictures of our adventure.

On Saturday the 30th of January we went to the park too. A different one that was much bigger then our neighborhood park.

It is coming up on time to start trying to take those training wheels off. Taylor has become quite the bicyclist.

Nathan has really outgrown his bike. When we bought it 2 years ago we really were expecting longer use. Nathan has really grown recently.
