March 2012 part 2

On March 22nd Preston and Nathan went snowboarding at Snow Bowl. While they were gone the girls and I tried to have some fun. We had a picnic in the backyard.

Went with some neighbor friends to a park.
Made a trip to Costco for some groceries and dinner. We bought a craft at Wal-Mart that the girls enjoyed painting. It is a keepsake box that they can frame photographs on and it spins.
More swimming in March. We are loving this pool. Our little inflatable train.
Amanda even got in the water a couple times. On the last day of spring break I took the kids to Peter Piper Pizza for their lunch buffet and to play.

After spending money on tokens for the various games we had the most fun with this playland and fun mirror. The place had pretty much emptied out by this time so we had the place to ourself. We were all cracking up at how the kids looked in the mirror. I laughed so hard I cried. Fun memories were made and it still makes me smile weeks later to think about it.

Nathan is such a great big brother.
At the end of March some of our cousins stayed with us while their parents went on a cruise. It was weird having 8 kids for 5 days but it wasn't too bad. The kids all got along and were helpful. One of the days after my kids came home from school we went to Jump Street.

One of the nights we invited all the family on Preston's side over for a BBQ and of course swimming. :-)
One of the days we went swimming I put Amanda in this floater and she went to sleep a few minutes after getting in. She knows how to relax by (or should I say in) the pool. We then took her out and laid her in the hammock to finish napping.
I took the cousins to visit Nana Great while they were in town. I had to do it while Nathan and Taylor were at school so I could transport all of them in one car. Amanda was so interested in Nana Great it was cute.

(His favorite food)Enjoying the ice-cream sundae.Nathan's birthday breakfast we ate cowboy eggs (favorite breakfast)For lunch we met Preston at a McDonald's by his work for another Cheeseburger for Nathan :-)
Then I dropped off Taylor and Natalie at Grandma and Grandpa's house and took Nathan and his buddy Hayden to Golfland for some goofy golfing.
And some laser tag.Later that night we ate Chicken Cheese Puffs another favorite of Nathan's and some of the family came over for dessert and presents. We ate brownies and ice-cream instead of cake.

March 2012 Part 1

We kept it long and just trimmed and added a few long layers to try to add some volume.
Showing off her prizes.
Saturday March 3rd was pinewood derby day for Nathan. Here he is carefully placing his car on the track.
Adding graphite for speed help.

Nathan got 2nd place in our ward and was excited to get a trophy. His car looked like a camaro and was painted like Bumble Bee from Transformers. Nathan and Preston did a great job on the car.Snapshot of Amanda trying a rice cake for babies. She loves being able to eat real food and often looks like a little chipmunk while eating them.
We heated the pool the end of the first week of Spring Break. The kids had a great time swimming and we can't wait until the summer. I had the girls wear life jackets for my own peace of mind since I was the only adult there and their swim skills are at beginning stage.Amanda hung out in the shade content as could be while we swam.
The girls on St. Patricks Day. Taylor and Natalie's shirts are from Old Navy and say Good Luck Charmer.
March 18th around noon we had a flash hail storm. It was crazy.
On March 19th we went to Skateland.
Natalie loved to push Amanda around in her stroller while she skated.
On March 20th we took the kids to the construction site of the Gilbert Temple. It has been so neat to watch this temple be built and we are excited to have a Temple 3 miles from our home.
